My hopes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I'm a massive fan of Call of Duty 4 and I think I played it both on-line and single player more then any other game this year and even last year - I bagged the full 1000G and I was very cuffed with myself after unlocking the Mile High achievement.

The Multi-player side of the game has more player on it then World of Warcraft! Its Hugh....

Its been a while since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was announced and finally we have a video of the game that shows actions.

All I can hope for its that the game is not rushed out and that its 99.4% done on release, I honestly don't believe it will be but with the generic term 'The Current Economic Climate' being used alot recently the business bots at Infinity Ward could be cracking the whip a little too hard and the game is published that is not fully complete and we need updates.

So what's new to this game? well lets see :

  • Co-op mode
  • Same engine different setting
  • Extension of the great storyline
  • More open game play over COD4
  • Gameplay mechanics will include climbing the icy slopes of a mountain with ice picks and riding on snowmobiles which i think sounds awesome I can already think of possibility if its included in the multiplayer!!!
  • Enemy wave spawning cut out - Which could be helpful in planning a strategy of attack.
  • A New Mode called 'Special Forces' which will consist of a number of isolated stages not tied to the narrative but there was no indication of how many of these Special Forces stages would make it in, but according to Game Informer it'll be a "major part" of the game.

Damn and that's not even touching the Multiplayer aspect of the game.

It’s clear the game is going to get brought in it millions on D-Day (sorry for the WWII term Tryarch)

Sky Player on the 360 - Is it really needed?

I have just read on x360a.org that Microsoft and BSkyB have teamed up for release some form of player that will allow us to access TV programmes through our gaming monster.

I mean come on..... Is this really going to be a benefit to us as gamers - put quite simply, its not!

The available channels and subscriptions are still yet to be announced, but you can bet your prized collectable Lara Croft figurine that its not going to be free.

If its free then I have to admit that I would be an advantage over the dark side (PS3) and it could be some more ammunition in the on going battle between fan boys but i cant see myself using it after a quick fumble.

Fight Night Round 4 - A slight improvement?

The game is as good if not slightly better then FNR3 from what I was able to 'dig' out from the demo.

The only improvements worth mentioning are the sweat, skin realism and close quarters body zone punching. I am glad they kept the innovative control system which I believe makes the game 'punch' above the competition.

One thing I did notice was there seems to be a delay in response times from giving the command to throw a punch and your character actually responding to that command.
This could be a problem which hopefully will be sorted out by the time the game is released by only time will tell.......

I managed to download the demo from a website and whacked it on a DVD to play it on my trusty box - which was a who different experience in it own right then having demo's 'on tap' through LIVE!
