First Post

So... Sparky Exe takes to the helms at Two 360 gamers!
Presently listening to: Muse: The Resistance. Buy the album, its awesome!
Well what can I say in my first post, t-minus 4 days and counting. Well that's for all you suckers that have actually pre-ordered in the likes of GAME etc...

Play.com confirm dispatch today! Yes that's right. Halo ODST is winging its way through the postal system as I type... or not given present strikes, but hey one can hope! May actually have the game tomorrow. Given the experience I've had with Play.com I don't for see any issues.

So, is ODST going to bring back the endless hours of non-stop online gaming sessions. I sure hope so. I'm struggling to actually find enjoyment in playing any games at present.

What I've been playing so far:

The Beatles Rock Band... as great as the songs and artistic direction is, the game is on the easy side, so I do get fed up of reading review after review giving the game more respect than GH5. I mean I'm a good GH/RB player, but not absolutely amazing, but I whizzed through 5 staring everything and only have very few left to 5 Gold star.

GH5s main change is in its accessibility, you load up the game, and bang, a press of the yellow button and your playing the demonstration song. Also the fact that you can play with any combination of instruments is great. I mean how many times would you go online and never be able to find a singer... I do like the varying song selection, but there are some rather random songs on there. I don't claim to be a rock guru or anything, but GH2/3 do have some legendary songs. Good thing you can import the songs from World Tour and Greatest Hits.

It would appear however the achievements are annoyingly tedious, and will only come through hours and hours of thrashing through hundreds of songs... and so until I can get back into that, who knows. Just on another note there too, the Rock Band guitars are better than the new Guitar Hero ones fact! I bought the wireless Beatles Gretsch guitar which is fantastic. I believe that would make it my 7th guitar peripheral in total :S

On XBLA, I purchased Bubble Bobble Neo! I knew there was no need for a demo playthrough. I owned this game on my Commodore 64, and playing this brought back some memories! The game is pretty much a perfect port of that version. A classic to say the least. Try the demo!

Anyway, back to my point. With Halo ODST soon to be arriving, hopefully I'll be able to enjoy playing online like last year when we had both Halo and COD4 to take up time.

Sticky anyone?

Post 2. Should hopefully be a review of Halo ODST
