I really need a game to bridge the gap between now and the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the 10th of next month. Is this game it? Read to find out
I was not aware of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising until its release date crept up and it was on the shelves, so when it arrived I was excited and hope this would be the one!
So I thought this could be the moment I opened the game up and inserted the disc into my 360, when it loaded up it seemed pretty cool but for some strange reason I thought I was playing Race Driver: Grid because it was showing me information about how kilometers I have driven in a boat?!? – Confused? Yeah me too….>_<
So to the game it looks with great detail and feels great with a nice atmosphere, controls are far from perfect but easy to get to grips with but for some reason I just didn’t get on very well with it. The difficulty is mixed and at some points of the game you can take 2-5 from a mini gun from a helicopter and live to tell the tale but take 1-2 hits from a pistol from an enemy grunt and your flat on your back.
I am not really selling the game am I? Well for those of you who love to plan an attack on an enemy emplacement and take your time executing the plan to the number then this is the game for you! As long as you don’t mind it when you shoot down a helicopter, it comes down, doesn’t blow up to top it all up and the crew get out uninjured and shot you in the arse. This is a game for you.
Sorry for the short review but I didn’t have a passion for this game.
3 out of 10
So as you can guess its not the game that will keep me going while I wait until COD: MW2 far from it!
COMING SOON:
