It has been announced in the latest copy of the monthly magazine available to Sky's subscribers that the Sky Player will be available on the xbox 360 from next month(NOV) and it will come in the form of a dashboard update.
The service is going to be available to gold members and those with a subscription with sky.
To be honest it does make sense for existing customers with a wifi connection to buy an xbox 360 souly for the purpose of escaping the monthly charge for Sky multi-room which is basically having another box in a different room.
This was pipped to the post in the latest Playstation 3 update which installed a web based BBC iPlayer on the XMB which allows people to stream the latest episode of Eastender or Panorama for free.
But the thing that will sell me a sky package to use on the xbox is the ability to watch a football game with your mates and chat about the action as it happens but I would not really want to watch TV on my xbox because its not the quietest thing in my TV cabinet and yes I don't have a Jasper motherboard.
I will give it a go when its released and report back on the quality and functionality of the service.
