Golden Joystick 2010 Round up

London played host to the 28th Golden Joystick awards today in style, the event took place in the biggest hotel in the city which overlooks Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

The gaming public voted in their millions this year for an event that has gone from strength to strength which is partly due to the helping hand of Facebook, Twitter and social media in general which brought the total number of vote to over 1.5 million, breaking last years vote record of just over a million.

The guestion I really need to ask is why there is no main stream media coverage of the event after it pulled a record nukber of votes. Any Ideas?

The categories where revamped this year round and here they are along with the results.

Some of the awards shocked us both and by the sounds that came from the crowd others were aswell especially when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came second in the
ultimate game of the year category I think everybody expected in to walk away with it.

Sparky will follow up with a post on who got it right on the day and then we will both get our voice our opinions on the winners.

I dont know how I got on because he kept them close to his chest but I have a funny feeling that I didnt do so well this year.
