Treyarch may relax Party Chat rules in COD: Black Ops

Treyarch have announced that they are going to remove some of the restrictions around the Xbox live party chat communication that is present in Morden Warfare 2. In an interview with Videogamer, com COD: Black Ops Online Director Dan Bunting said that “We’ve taken it out of any game mode where it doesn’t make sense to have it”.

As we all know Infinity Ward came under intense criticism for removed Party chat from most of the online game modes but stuck to their guns and never backed down. We found a way around it by using private chat but it’s useless if playing with 3 or more players. 3

Dan does mention in the interview what that some game modes will still have the block in place like Search and Destroy due to people giving away opponents positions while dead.
Team Deathmatch , Search and Destroy and the wave-based Zombies co-op mode, are the only game types confirmed for Call of Duty: Black Ops so far so we will keep an out for more information on this.

This is great news!
